She takes precautions to ensure the gel is applied to the teeth in a way that provides the most even whitening results. Such safeguards minimize the risk of irritation to the gums and tissues around the teeth.
If you desire a more gradual approach, home whitening may be in your future. Trays are customized to your mouth. When you wear them as Dr. Rafetto instructs, the custom-fit trays deliver whitening gel to your mouth comfortably, evenly, and gradually over days or weeks.
